Protion was established in 2008 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sandbox Holdings. Our staff compliment has a combined total of 46 years of experience in the learning and development space and has assisted many clients who reap the benefits of a well skilled workforce. The pace of change in technology has created an environment whereby employees are recruited into an organisation and the knowledge transfer method used is typically on-the-job training by a colleague, focusing only on the functionality that is remembered by this individual.

The majority of applications used in business today have unlimited functionality that could make the user 60-80% more efficient and effective. Another challenge is that users do not have enough knowledge or confidence to interrogate the systems to unleash the capabilities of the systems and processes that the organisations invest in.

An extensive needs analysis is conducted throughout the organisation to establish who the target audience is, and may be in the future. Using various methods such as interviews, group discussions, questionnaires, etc. the objective is to ascertain what training is required the current level of knowledge within the organisation and where the greatest need lies. Thereafter, the organisations policies, procedures and business rules are identified to ensure a consistency throughout all programs. Protion firmly believes that by informing employees about the ‘why’ certain processes are followed, the ‘how’ will follow automatically.


Our Approach

Class Room Based

Instructor lecture and demonstration, followed by student practice through handson exercise. Students receive a Learning Guide as a reference tool while in class. Problems and solutions can be shared with the entire group, therefore assisting in the knowledge transfer and enrichment experience.

e-Learning

This method is a simulated recording of the functions performed on the relevant applications which provides the ability for learners to observe a demonstration, participate in a training session and thereafter perform a comprehensive assessment to gauge competency.

Blended Approach

Onsite Learning. We like to combine Lecture Led with On-line learning, on-site. This flexible and cost effective option allows you to train as many or as few employees, from your team or department to everyone in your organization.
